We are in need of volunteers willing and able to help carry our procession canopy during the Corpus Christi 5:00PM Vigil Mass on June 6th. Please consider before volunteering that the canopy is not light! If interested, please email [email protected].
Please join the Saint Alphonsus Book Club on Monday, June 29th, as we discuss Elizabeth Street by Laurie Fabiano. Based on true events, this historical, multigenerational novel traces the life of Giovanna, a young Italian immigrant, whose family triumphed over the infamous Black Hand in 1900’s New York. Our meeting begins promptly at 7:00 pm in the Parish Hall, but please feel free to come early for a chat. For more details, contact Joan Wolff at [email protected]. Until then, happy reading!
Happy anniversary to Monsignor Michael McCulken, who is celebrating his Golden Jubilee. In just one year, Monsignor has already become such an important part of our parish family. Thank you for sharing your vocation, your care, and your love for Christ with our community. Celebrate with us on Sunday, May 31st, at noon for a Mass of Thanksgiving, followed by an outdoor reception.
Effective May 4th, the Parish Office hours will be Monday to Friday, 9:30 am to 5:00 pm. This change of schedule will allow our parish and missionary staff to attend the 9:00 am daily Mass, united in prayer with one another and for the mission of our parish.
Click the title above to read an article by Catholic Philly covering our new program, Nourish for Caregivers, here at Saint Alphonsus. Our parish will be one of five Nourish groups in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia—two of which, also in Montgomery County, were started by Amy Juarez. Our Nourish group will meet on the third Thursday of each month from 3:00–4:15 PM in the church narthex meeting room. Each gathering will focus on a faith‑based caregiving topic.
