Who we are and what we do
The Health & Wellness Ministry at Saint Alphonsus is a group of parishioners with a wide range of backgrounds, not just in health care (medical and nursing), but in other areas as well. The common thread is the desire to lend a helping hand to others in our community. Our overall goal is to provide care and services to meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of our parishioners. Our coordinating team members are Maryann Foley, Deline DeCosta, Peg States, Kelly Vesey Gregor, Mary Ann Fitzpatrick, Bettly Lane, Patti Morris, Christine Bieber, Peggy Stohler, Kathleen Hunter, & Jessica Swiger.

H&W UpdateAs holidays grow closer and we look forward to a new year, here’s a quick snapshot of what to be on the lookout for.
▪We are hoping to grow our reach through our H.O.P.E. (Helping Other People Everyday) Ministry. If anyone knows of someone who would benefit from receiving help from H.O.P.E., you can fill out the form on the back of the brochures located in the Narthex or contact the Rectory Office via email at [email protected] or via phone at 215-646-between 9:00 AM and 4:30 PM.
▪As we expand our reach, we will likely need more volunteers. If you are interested, please reach out via email to [email protected]
▪We will again be hosting a Blood Pressure Screening event on Sunday, December 8, 2024,after the 8 am and 10:15 Masses. We will also have an information table set up in the Narthex. Stop by to chat with one of our members and learn more about we do.
▪We will continue to offer opportunities to help you prioritize your health in 2025 in addition to our monthly Nurse’s Corner newsletter. With our New Year, New You focus, look for in-person educational events, such as fitness and healthy eating to start after the first of the new year. More to come on this as the new year approaches.
